Mission, Vision & Values

Our STEP Mission

STEP Academy Trust is committed to improving the life chances of all children.  Where we have the capacity to make a difference we are morally bound to do so.

Our Vision

We all achieve the very best and develop a love of life-long learning. No one is left behind on this journey.

STEP Values

We also recognise our STEP values, which are shared across our academy trust. We teach children that these are our family values.

OUR AIMS

 We aim for High Cliff pupils:

  • To become active partners in the learning process through listening, thinking, questioning and talking about learning
  • To enjoy learning and always do their best.
  • To feel proud of success and celebrate achievement - their own and that of others and to have high aspirations for living and learning.
  • To become competent and confident communicators, readers, writers and confident users of mathematics.
  • To learn from a wide range of experiences and other opportunities on offer.
  • To be able to work co-operatively and independently.
  • To always treat others with respect and expect to be treated in the same way themselves, demonstrating care, kindness and thought in their interactions.
  • To take increasing responsibility for their own actions and choices.
  • To develop a growing awareness of the wider world and how to be a good citizen therein.
  • To care for our environment, inside and out, local and global.

  • Our teaching is matched to the learning needs of the children so that we can take them step-by-step on their journey to high achievement.
