Pupils at High Cliff Academy in Newhaven were thrilled to have taken part in a First Aid class this term run by Mini First Aid. These classes were kindly funded by our wonderful PTA.
Mum of six, Kate Ball set up Mini First Aid in January 2014, offering quality baby & child first aid classes to parents and carers. Today, Mini First Aid now train over 1,000 people every week across the UK in life-saving first aid. The Multi Award winning classes are delivered in a relaxed and comfortable style and give children the confidence to know what actions to take if faced with a medical emergency. Mini First Aid featured on BBC 1 Dragons’ Den in 2021 securing investment from Sara Davies MBE. Mini First Aid are members of the First Aid Industry Body and provide a full range of first aid courses for those requiring a first aid qualification.
The children in Years 5 and 6 learnt to deal with bumps, breaks, bleeding, carry out CPR and deal with choking which is a vital part of the National Curriculum.
