Karen Harrison - STEP SEND Lead

Karen graduated from Bath Spa University College with BA (Hons) and QTS in 2001. She has since been teacher and leader in South London. Karen has held various roles such as SENDCO, Inclusion Leader, Designated Safeguarding Lead and Assistant Headteacher. She has a wealth of experience in leading SEND provision in the schools she has worked at, including establishing a resource base for children with Moderate Learning Difficulties and a Nurture Group. 

Karen first joined STEP Academy Trust in 2016 as part of the Senior Leadership Team at Tudor Academy. She has mentored SENDCOs across the Trust who have been new to role. Additionally, she has worked closely with Local Authorities to advise, support and secure effective provision for children in mainstream settings.
